For more than 20 years, we have worked alongside people and communities to create opportunities and tackle social inequalities.
LFC Foundation is the official charity of Liverpool Football Club. Working in areas of high need and deprivation across the Liverpool City Region and internationally, we aim to deliver sustainable and long-term change for communities and to ensure that our work continues to benefit future generations.
Our mission is to tackle social inequalities in our communities and we do this through championing health, learning and enhancing employability opportunities for all.
The LFC Foundation has generated more than £170 million in healthcare savings, contributed over £36 million into the local economy, and supported a total of 529,000 people.
We deliver over 11,040 sessions and 693 community events across 315 venues per season and work in over 200 schools.
Over 19,000 people outside of the UK have also benefitted from an LFC Foundation programme, in Tanzania, Ethiopia, United States, Republic of Ireland and Japan. Over half of our participants are from the top 20% most deprived areas in the country, reflecting the Foundation’s focus on communities with the greatest need.
Our participants span different ages, backgrounds and experiences. Some join through a school or football session. Others meet us through health, employment, youth or community programmes.
We could not do this work alone. Coaches, volunteers, schools, community organisations, delivery partners, funders and supporters all play a part. We share the credit because lasting progress is always a team effort.
We help people become more active, feel connected and take positive steps for their physical and mental wellbeing.
We use the appeal of LFC to help children, young people and adults build confidence and raise their aspirations.
We help people recognise their strengths, gain experience and move closer to education, training or work.
We create trusted spaces where people can take part, build relationships and shape positive change in their area.
We work to remove barriers so more people feel welcome, represented and able to take part.
We track outcomes and use what we find to improve our work and create greater value for every pound spent.
We want every participant, partner and supporter to trust how we work.
We publish impact reports, use independent evaluation and keep learning from the people and communities involved.
